Default Graphics Problem

I've seen many screens and a friend of mine play Guild Wars, amazing graphics. That doesnt happen in my PC. Take a look at this screenshot i took.

Pretty bad hun?

Graphics Card: nVidia GeForce 6600 256mb
Resolution: 1280x1024 (gets worse in lower resolutions)
Latest Drivers installed.

Any help you can give? Thanks guys

Several things can cause graphics problems. The type of monitor you are using is one of them. If you are using a LCD the best thing to do is run it at its native resolution (the resolution that the manufacturer say's it runs the best at). For a CRT monitor the maximum supported resolution should be used. Some players think that by running their game at the maximum available resolution the game willlook great, which in most cases is not the case. Also there may be other things that are causing bad graphics problems, having the settings in the graphics control panel within Guild Wars too high can also cause problems or even make the game look terrible. My suggestion is to open the graphics control panel within Guild Wars and then have it auto detect the best settings for what you have, and reset your resolution to whatever your monitor's maximun is. I am running a 20.1" widescreen monitor with an ATI Radeon X1900XTX , at 1400x1050 with no problems.

Anything that I can do to help out I will. I have gone through some of these problems myself and try to give others advice if I feel I can. Hope this works out for you.

Check the image quality setting on your Nvidia control panel, could this be set for performance rather than quality?

^^Good idea, youve got some serious jaggies going on there, but other than that its ok. Might want to check antiailiasing and aniosotropic filtering as well.
